We have been operating as a residential and commercial building / construction contractor in Trinidad and Tobago, serving clients throughout the Caribbean region with service quality excellence for the last seven decades.
History
Started in 1956 by Mr. Nadir Khan
The company’s history dates back to 1956 when Nadir Khan commenced business as a carpenter and general contractor. Journeying on a bicycle with a bag of tools on his back, he mastered the trade in the late 1960’s, building Sugar Houses (Caroni Houses) which were quite common in that era. As his skills developed, so did his popularity, reaching areas like Petit Moon, Cedar Hill and Golconda.
Over the next decade, the company began to diversify and grow, taking on more challenging projects. This included Beach Front Houses for Harris Hardware in Mayaro, Trinidad. Around the 1980’s, the company’s portfolio increased, undertaking projects like Residential Houses for Frankies Driving Hardware in Gopaul Lands & Mootoo Lands Marabella, Phillipine, Palmiste, Gulf View and other southern areas of Trinidad.
With a vast knowledge and experience in home building since 1982, Nadir’s son Anthony, decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. He began as a journeyman, but with hard work and a passion for building, he mastered the art of home building from foundation to finish. In 1990, he started supervising and overseeing construction projects for Petrotrin employee housing as well as other private projects.
Around 1996, Anthony started building complete houses on his own, inclusive of all the services necessary to construct a house from start to finish. The company was formally incorporated in the year 2013, taking the name Anthony Khan Construction. For over 10 years, the company’s office has been located on its current location in San-Fernando, Trinidad.
